Pink asked: I signed up to be a foster parent to cats and/or kittens. They said they will call me most likely tomorrow. I have had a lot of cats and some kittens but what special care would you have to do for newborn without the mother? Can they sleep through the night or will I need to feed them every 2 hours around the clock.

yeaboy_jake asked: So our momma kitty just had kittens about 4 weeks ago. She has recently decided to not feed as much. We think it is time to switch to kitty food, but we are not sure what kind they might need. Could you possibly tell me if there is any special food they need?

Jennifer asked: Right now I have them in two seperate parts of the house, and the cat and dog got along well before my cat had the kittens. I have found loving homes for all 5 kittens but I can’t give them away until they’ve reached 6 weeks… how should I go about introducing them and when would be a good time?

epcotexpert asked: My cat just had kittens. I don’t know how many yet, because they were born yesterday. When should I get them out of their little den and start to hold them? Any other tips on handling newborn kittens would be a big help!
We were going to get her spayed but we couldn’t because of the kittens on the way. My cat and her kittens live in our barn. This is her first litter. When it rains a lot of water will get into the den. Should I move them? Or should I have a box ready nearby for the mom to move them to?

malrose asked: My newborn kittens, that were born three days ago, are panting. I guess when I go and touch them, they get scared and start to pant like dogs. What does this mean and is it okay? Should I bring them to the vet?

n i n a asked: My cat just had four kittens on Sunday. (One underneath my bed) They have a really nice, big, warm, and comfortable kitten bed. We were keeping them under our dining room table, near her food and her litter box. Three days later, she took all her kittens under my bed. It is a very cramped and unsafe area were there is no room for the kitten bed. Our house is fairly large. Do I need to keep her in a more quiet, secluded place? Why is she taking her kittens under by bed?

Political I asked: About three weeks ago a pregnant street cat got into our back yard and gave birth to three kittens. They are still here with their mother. How long will it take until the kittens are big enough and leave the back yard?
Also, is there a chance they won’t leave on their own if they find it too comfortable here?
